There are a vast amount of tackle available in today's market and you only have to walk into your local tackle dealer to be amazed at the variety in products and prices for what seems similar products.It is far to big an area for me to be able to go into in any depth but i have written a brief over view of the tackle required to get you started in sea fishing that will hopefully help you minimize the risk of a costly mistake.
