SEAFORTH ROCKS

Though you can no longer fish seaforth rocks inside the dock area without special arrangements, there is an area outside the docks that is accessible.Head past the entrance to the docks on Crosby road and take the next left into Cambridge road, follow this round for 200 yards till you see a car park on the left.

Park here and head to the left, you should see the radar station in front of you .Follow this path down to the rocks, past the fence and then head down to the end where there is deep water.

Seaforth rocks is known for throwing up good bags of codling, whiting and dabs during the winter and during the summer you can expect plaice, eels, flounder, thornback rays and occasional bass and sole.this is still possible from this small area that is left available.

As with the rest of the mersey, big tides are practically unfishable due to the tidal pull, but if you fish uptide here it isn't so bad as its wider than inside the river itself

During the winter big lug/crab and lug/squid combo's takes the fish, mackerel for the whiting.
