Very similar to the flapper rig but with the use of a cascade swivel for the bottom snood and a rig clip (or your preferred bait clip connector) it can be clipped down for better aerodynamics especially if used in conjunction with an impact shield and therefore greater casting distance is achievable. Ideal when the fish are feeding at distance it again can be used with 1,2 or 3 hook variations. Again vary the hook size and line strength for the target species. If you have problems with your bait riding up the hook length when casting with a clip down bait, you can help prevent this by adding sequins to the snood above the hook, simply thread them on, then thread a small (5mmm) piece of fine silicone tubing onto the line, pass the line back through the tubing and when you pull tight it catches on itself forming a small neat blob without damaging the line, tie the hook on in the usual manner what you need. 1 main swivel 1 small swivel 1 cascade swivel 1 rig clip (or similar) 2 hooks 4 beads 4 crimps |
